This julienne disc creates fine (3 mm, or approximately 1/4-inch) square strips of vegetables, fruits, and cheeses. Use it to make strips of carrots and zucchini for stir-fries and salads, and to make shreds of cheese for garnishes. It can also be used in conjunction with a slicing disc to create tiny cubes of firm vegetables, such as turnips and potatoes. The disc slots easily onto the detachable disc stem, but be sure to handle it carefully, as these blades are very sharp. --Jennifer Harris
